Dear Community Members,
It is my sincere pleasure to welcome you to the Olivia's House website! We are so proud that it not only encompasses our passion for supporting grieving families in our community, but demonstrates our dedication to continual improvement. With a degree in communication, film and theatre, my leadership direction will always embrace media and technology to support grieving families, as these not only are viable tools but serve as a constant connection.
We know that you will be amazed by recent news and happenings at Olivia's House! It is the goal of the staff to regularly update our News and Updates page with "blog-like" articles thusly connecting the community to the inner thoughts of our staff. We hope you will continue to check back frequently to stay connected. I also encourage you to become a friend of our FaceBook page as well for constant communication and updates!
Leslie Delp, M.A., our Founder and Bereavement Specialist, is a true gift to this mission and our community. Because of her vision, dedication and faith, Olivia's House is recognized nationally as an innovative grief center providing hope and healing to countless bereaved families.
As roles have shifted, we believe that our staff's truest gifts are now serving the community more effectively. As a bereavement specialist in private practice since 1995, Leslie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the families she now serves. Her expertise in trauma, particularly suicide and its relationship to depression, gives Olivia's House credibility across the nation.
We are at work building a team that will support our grief center and community through the next decade. The staff works diligently to uphold the reputation that we have earned since opening our doors in 2002. As the Executive Director, it is my honor to lead this outstanding mission, and to work with and learn from such talented staff.
If you have not been to Olivia's House, I encourage you to call to arrange a tour of the many beautiful rooms and our garden. If you are unable to come to York or Hanover, take a website visit and see for yourself how magical our houses really are! As we work to support the many grieving children in our community, let me say thank you to all who make it possible… the volunteers, the community, the families we serve and our staff! You are the best!
